Cheesecake feels like one of those desserts that you have following a nice dinner at a restaurant. It feels sophisticated and refreshing. The perfect end to the perfect night. But sometimes you don’t want to go out, you want to stay in and eat dessert all by yourself and that is where this mix comes in handy.
I did not know that you could buy a box mix for cheesecake before I stumbled upon Jello’s “No bake classic cheesecake”. I was excited to give it a try because the traditional route of baking a cheesecake in a water bath always stresses me out.
This mixture was so easy to prepare. You start with the crust mix adding sugar and melted butter then flattening it to the bottom and sides of your pie pan. Once that is done you prepare the cheesecake mixture by combining the mix with milk and mixing it for 3 minutes until it thickens up and that is how you know it is finished. Then the mixture is poured into the pie pan and chilled for at least an hour.
I pulled my chilled cheesecake from the fridge and slicing it was a dream. It held it’s shape well and cut such clean lines, it was so satisfying. The box advertised it as 6 slices but I have an easier time cutting 8 slices so I chose to go with 8 smaller slices.
This cheesecake was delicious. It had some tang to it that almost replicated the cream cheese flavor and I actually felt that the size of the slice was perfect. A bigger slice may have been too much for me. If you really thought about it, you could tell this wasn’t a homemade baked cheesecake but absolutely no one is complaining if you show up with this cheesecake to a dinner party.
The short amount of time and effort it took made this a fantastic box mix. The affordable cost and the light amount of dishes really sold me on this mix. This is a great fake and I absolutely recommend picking this up next time you have a cheesecake craving.
The mix as prepared was 1855 calories with 25.5 grams of protein. If cut into 6 slices as packed it would be 309 calories and 4.25 grams of protein per slice. If cut into 8 as I did it was 232 calories and 3 grams of protein per slice.

Omg yum I love cheesecake and this sounds so easy! Do you have any ideas on how you could spice this boxed mix up? Maybe a cherry drizzle!
Absolutely! To follow the quick and easy theme you could use a can of pie filling like cherry, strawberry, or blueberry on top. Of course fresh fruit would be good too!
I have seen this dessert occassionally at BYOD (Bring Your Own Dessert) buffets with custom toppings like strawberries, or cherries, and even whipped topping and chocolate syrup. It’s always a delight to taste.
